Our mission is to leverage reflections and raise initiatives that can help societies in Pakistan and Norway to connect and move towards a more tolerant, confident and inclusive society. We believe in building a society where we connect to understand each other better.

The diaspora are important influencers, being positive role models for future generations in Norway. The diaspora also have great impact by being role models to the society of our origin and the families we have left behind. Sharing knowledge and insight will create bridges between East and West and create ties by a mutual understanding for a common future. By sharing values and resources with others we facilitate development and connect the roots and the shoulders we stand on in both countries. By sharing the histories and struggles, we bring people closer together. What is equally important is the value of people travelling between the countries and thus sharing democratic values and ideas. 

We believe in combining the best from our inherited culture with the best of the new culture. This leads to a diversification of society, and in turn leads to strengthening identities. The global village is more and more the norm today and our children are well qualified with great global capabilities to be members and leaders on the way toward a more tolerant and inclusive society for all. To create shared societies, we need to find common grounds and values. Alma Culture Centre is dedicated to the cause of uniting rather than dividing.

The important role of culture is as bridge to unite and drive progress and growth for families, society and businesses. The cultures we belong to define us as individuals. The cultures we create are ponds of identities and belonging. The expressions of arts and culture are the mirror of our contemporary issues and mind-set. By using these artistic tools we may think the unthinkable and create the imaginable future.
