  Tina Shagufta Kornmo 
  Cathrine Barth 

Journalist by profession, has previously worked for Dagbladet and NRK. Former Head of Communications at Telenor. Now strategy consultant at Halogen. Cathrine has a special interest in strengthening relations between Norway and Pakistan after having produced a documentary for NRK about Pakistan in 2012. She is a board members of LAMS school in Pakistan and a consultant in social entrepreneurship.

 

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
 

Tina Shagufta Munir Kornmo was born in Lahore, Pakistan and moved to Norway at the age of four and has since lived in Oslo. Tina is a medical doctor graduating from University of Oslo 2001. She is a specialist in general surgery and urology. Tina is the founder of ALMA Culture Center (former Alma’s Development Initiative). She has been engaged in the public debate, especially on issues related to women, gender equality, and children’s upbringing. She contributed with an essays in the anthology “Utilslørt- muslimske råtekster” (Aschehoug 2011). She has also participated as “The statistical Oslo citizen” at the Nationaltheateret on the main stage in the play "An Enemy of the People» by Henrik Ibsen by Rimini Protocol. She has given lectures about integration issues, sense of belonging, parental guidance, radicalization, communication and health challenges to minorities in the healthcare system.

  Asma Chaudhry 

She is a social worker by profession and has been working for NAV. Her focus of interest is women's rights, diversity and integration. She does projects and speeches regarding these issues. She contributed an essay in the anthology - "Utilslørt- Muslimske råtekster» Aschehoug 2011 and operates the blogazine "www.northernchowk.com" . She is a board member of LIM (Likestilling, Integrering og Mangfold). Asma was born in Pakistan and raised in Africa.
 

  Hussain Munir 

Hussain Munir (b. 1936), youngest son of Alma and Nawab Din of Tiro Chak. Munir came to Norway as a working immigrant in 1970. Late 1972 he was reunited with his wife, Zubeda and his three children, Bushra, Shagufta and Zulifqar as they came to live in Oslo with him. Hussain has the same strong will as his mother. Being the patriarch of his family he chose to be progressive minded and decided to educate all his children, even the daughters.

Jon Edvin Soltvedt

has a law degree from University of Oslo. He now work as a legal adviser in the Norwegian Police. His master thesis was on International Humanitarian Law. Jon was born in Denmark and moved to Norway in childhood. With his versatile field of interest he is a valuable asset for ALMA Culture Center. During recent years in Norway Jon has developed a growing interest in cultural relations and bridge building between Norway and Pakistan.
